Membership
Why join?

The Medina Mariners Association welcomes new members, and will be very pleased to receive enquiries and applications from anyone who enjoys boating in particular or other leisure activities or, indeed, anyone who is just interested in being a member of a charity that seeks to protect and enhance an attractive estuary environment.

The Association offers a number of facilities that may be of interest to prospective members that are set in an attractive waterfront position adjacent to the Folly Inn, these being offered at very competitive fees and charges.  In addition, if you just wish to be a member of the Association, membership fees are very reasonable.  The Association also arranges social events and, of course, sailing events, dinghy racing and cruising rallies in particular.

In addition, the Association actively seeks to monitor planning applications for developments that may be detrimental to the Medina Estuary, and seeks to liaise with statutory bodies such as the Isle of Wight Council and Cowes Harbour Commission to ensure the best interests of leisure users of the area are properly looked after.  A number of projects are usually being pursued at any given point in time.

The Association has a reciprocal arrangement with both the Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club and East Cowes Sailing Club, with cruising rallies and social and other events organised under the umbrella name of Medina Combined Clubs.  The arrangement also allows members of the Association to use the facilities of both clubs.  In addition, discounts have been negotiated with local retailers for the benefit of members.

If you are interested in joining, you just need to complete and return an application form to the address shown.
