RIVERSIDE CENTRE AND QUAY HOUSE:

The IWC Executive Committee Agenda Item on the Riverside Centre new lease
and acquisition of Quay House was not discussed. This therefore means that
the question of what will happen to that site area will not be decided
until the next IWC Executive meeting on Wednesday 18 June.

This also provides interested parties with just over a week to assemble any
representations for the Committee.

The web site details can be found at:

PROJECT COWES & NEWPORT - ZONE 5:

For over a year now public discussions have been held in to Newport
Harbour’s development along with Medina Valley. Impacting upon the
foregoing is Project Cowes which is seeking Supplementary Planning
Guidance.

Unfortunately for Newport there is only an Exhibition in Cowes running
until 4pm on 30 May. There is no information available in Newport though a
request for same was sought for the NBF over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Nothing as yet has been forthcoming.

For NBF subscribers a visit to the Project Cowes web site would throw some
light on what is proposed. The home page for Project Cowes has a Flash
programme in use (www.projectcowes.com) and may for some subscribers cause
a problem in acquiring a connection. That being the case it is advised
that the home page is by-passed by clicking on:
http://www.projectcowes.com/whatsnew.html
Below the heading ‘WHAT’S NEW’ are 4 items. To get a current report click
(on that page) ‘New Project Cowes exhibition (8PDF) (22.04.03)’. This as
mentioned is a PDF / Acrobat file and amounts to 11 pages if printed out.

Newport comes under Zone 5. Details of the Supplementary Planning Guidance
details is to be found in the document. It is proposed that the scheme
will be presented to the IWC for a decision in June 2003.
